Update on Picasso exhibit

Very nice.  Waaayyyy too crowded with a bunch of ill-mannered people, but all in all, it was good to see the work...the quantity.  It was well put together as far as the timeline goes.  Some nice etchings/prints.
I think the part I was looking most forward to was getting out of Monmouth for a while.  It's what I've needed for a very long time.
Seattle is a good city as far as size, architecture and random bits of art.  We strolled around Pike's Market this morning.  The fish 'throwers' weren't there.  Apparently they are remodeling.  There were these great shops filled with the most inane crap.  There was one display window filled with little dog, cat and a few other types of animals, you know, those tiny little creatures that people used to collect for their tiny little display boxes that they hang on their walls in the kitchen?  Yeah, those little guys.  Not neatly placed, but like a bin of these little things piled high. It was grotesquely beautiful.  Next to that display was a window full of shot glasses and candle holders (I think that's what they were).  Layer upon layer of these things.  Overwhelming, but we couldn't take our eyes off of it.  So neat and tidy, but a hoarders wet dream.
I guess that's it.  It was good to get away.  Now I am ready to work.  So ready that I want to stop writin....
