...with the landscape here among other things. We went for a drive this last weekend, not sure where we were going. Had one destination in mind, Silver Creek Falls. Apparently, if you haven't seen Silver Creek Falls, and have lived here for any length of time you could turn into a bit of a pariah..well, maybe not that bad. I hadn't been there. I guess I'm not too impressed with waterfalls...or maybe my back hurt too much for me to want to walk all the way down to the base of the falls which might have been more impressive. It was beautiful no matter my impression.
These photos are all mixed up. This first one is the last place we ended up. Up in some mountain...somewhere. Don't you love my detail oriented mind?? Actually, I think the place was called Rooster Rock. Will be going back soon to hike in and do some primitive camping.
This is a good time of year for getting the landscape on film. There's a huge variation right now, from hay ready to be cut or already cut, to green pastures, to dirt. I love the patterns that I captured. I was actually thinking of someone while I was taking these shots, because I knew she would really appreciate them.
Sorry if the foreground is a little blurry...we were driving mostly. And please click on the photos to see better.
I love being able to see pattern after pattern at such great distances.
look at the color on that hill!
Oh, that's the falls. I think it's 110 feet. down.
Here's the top of the falls. Super shallow. Could have walked out to the edge. eeep.
Again, love the mossiness.
Oh, and this next was amazing. I'm not real sure what's growing there.
I want to live here...kind of the foothills, but still rolling hills, but kind of flat, but not. dig?
And then I saw this patch of red...crazy beautiful.
But THEN we saw THIS...
Down below there are HOPS!!
I thought I would leave this last photo out. I can't get it to turn the right way. SomeONE decided to take my picture while I was picking flowers for a friend. Didn't realize there were any pictures of me in this little line of photos until about 10 minutes ago. Anyway, it's me...sideways.
Getting real close to having the kiln up and running. I am banking on no later than Monday for the first firing. Keep your fingers crossed for a successful weekend for me, please!!!
love to all and all to love
