I think I want to quote Louise Nevelson...just a few of the things that she might be known for.
"I think most artists create out of despair. The very nature of creation is not a performing glory on the outside, it's a painful difficult search within."
"If they blow it [the world] up, that's not my business. My business is to work"
There's another one that I had written down and I just looked at it a few days ago and now I can't find it.
Of course, my memory is, well, not so great.
I think it went something like this
"I am a mother, but I am not always a mother."
Anyway, good quotes. She knew the most important thing about creativity and art. We have to do it. Nothing else means anything. I think it was Henry Moore who said something like, when you're an artist you don't consider retirement, it's your way of living so there's no end to it.
"Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy."
L. Nevelson
I hope the new year is good to everyone, no, I hope the new year is awesome, no, I just hope the new year is uneventful, unless good things come up then may all the good things be outstanding and incredible!
love
Beth
